Hey!
We may not know each other yet β but a friend thinks you should come for dinner.
* Yes β itβs a little weird to have a website explaining why we want to have 'strangers' over for brunch. Though I learned it helps to have a place to explain this idea.
What is it?
8 people at 8 is a home cooked meal with "friends of friends" at our place. Once a month I cook brunch for 7 new people each recommended by someone who themselves attended a brunch.
Why 8 people?
I have learned 8 people is the perfect size for everyone to get to know each other. While also large enough respectfully also have smaller conversations.
Background
They say everyone is separated by 6 introductions to every other person in the world.
This can be hard to realise when we fall into our everyday routines with time flying by without changing who we meet, and what we spend our time doing. I started this by hosting dinners in Berlin to bring together my friend circles, and it expanded from there.
What to bring?
Nothing! I'm cooking us dinner.
Though bringing wine or something else to drink is always welcome.
Want to join?
If you want to join, let our mutual friend know so they can pass on your contact details to me.
Who to invite next?
It's up to you. If you enjoyed the brunch, chances are you already know someone who might also.
